Chairman Lingden expressed concern that the government has deprived the leader of such an important political party of even the minimum facilities, such as being held in a preferred prison.

He pointed out that Bhairahawa Prison is inadequate in terms of security and facilities, urging Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to take immediate action. “It would be appropriate to transfer him to Kathmandu without delay,” Lingden stated.

RSP Chair Lamichhane is currently detained in Bhairahawa Prison in connection with a cooperative fraud and organized crime case.
