ACHHAM, April 7: A ten-month-old toddler died after being struck by lightning in Chaurpati Rural Municipality-3 in the district on Friday evening.
Ayush Kami, son of Ramesh Kami, died after the lightning struck him while he was sleeping at home at 7 pm on Friday.

Similarly, 16-year-old Sita Kami sustained serious injuries in the incident. Sita, who has burn injuries from her face down to her chest, is undergoing treatment at Bayalpata-based hospital, according to sources. According to Dr Bikash Gauchan, her condition is out of danger.
Similarly, the lightning also killed five goats and oxen kept under the shed of Ramesh, District Police Office, Achham told Republica Online. The lighting also destroyed Ramesh’s two-story house.
