Light to moderate rain forecast in hilly region

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Presently, the axis of the monsoon trough is positioned further south than its usual location and the country experiences a partial influence of a low pressure system based in the Uttar Pradesh of India and its adjacent areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The weather across the country is expected to be partly to generally cloudy with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places of the hilly region of the country and at one or two places in the rest of the country, the MFD states.

Similarly, tonight, it will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country while light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected to take place at a few places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places of the rest of the provinces.
