Partially cloudy weather to prevail in Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: The weather is expected to be changeable across the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of the westerly low-pressure system in Nepal.

According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6AM, at present the weather is mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi Province.

According to the MFD, partly to mostly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience partly cloudy skies. The weather is anticipated to remain mainly clear in other parts of the country.

There is a possibility of scattered to light rain at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Light snowfall may occur at a few places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces and at a couple of places in the rest of the high hills and mountainous areas.

The hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to be mostly clear, while other regions may experience partly cloudy conditions tonight. Light snowfall is possible in some high-altitude areas of these provinces.
