KATHMANDU, Jan 30: A partial change in weather has been observed in the hilly areas of the country since this morning. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is fog in most parts of Terai.

The MFD said that there is currently a partial effect of westerly winds in Nepal.

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudupashchim provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas.

The weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country including Karnali province tonight. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi province and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
