KATHMANDU, Dec 5: The weather in Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds along with a low pressure area developed around Uttar Pradesh, India.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the eastern part of the country is also partially affected by the powerful sea storm called 'Michong', which developed around the central-western region of the Bay of Bengal.

The weather is generally clear in Koshi and Lumbini provinces as well as in the hilly areas of the country with partly cloudy to normal weather in the rest of the country.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly cloudy to normal in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces this afternoon, and the weather will be generally clear in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain at a couple of places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. As mentioned in the daily weather bulletin, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the highlands and mountainous areas of the country in the afternoon.

Similarly, tonight the weather will be partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and the weather will be generally clear in the rest of the country. According to the division, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
