MKATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepali Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Durlav Thapa has said that major parties should work together to form a new government. Thapa, anP elected to the House of Representatives from Bhaktapur-2, said that the major parties should stand together and discuss the formation of a new government.
Speaking at a program organized by the National Communication Center, Nepal in Bhaktapur on Wednesday, Thapa also expressed his commitment not to tamper with the constitution. MP Thapa said that if there is a need to amend the constitution, it should be carried out on the basis of consensus among the parties, but no one should trample on the constitution.
Together we must fight
MP Thapa also mentioned that because the big political parties made the mistake of trampling on the Constitution, the people have come to look for their alternatives. He also stressed the need for parties to be aware not to do activities contrary to the people’s mandate.
Thapa discussed with all political parties and announced his plans for the overall development of Bhaktapur. He also expressed his determination to prioritize the establishment of Khwap University to develop Bhaktapur as an educational center.
