KATHMANDU, March 29: Laxmi Bank Ltd has added two more branches in its network. Issuing a statement, the bank said that it started operation of branches at Birendranagar of Surkhet and Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur from Tuesday.

The opening of the new branches will strengthen its presence in the mid and far west Nepal, the bank said in the statement.
"We believe that both, Birendranagar and Mahendranagar, are strategic fit to our goal of reaching out to new customers in the urban and emerging semi-urban markets," reads the statement. Laxmi Bank now has altogether 49 branches, 2 extension counters and 62 ATMs spread across the country.
