"Burtibang and Galyang are both underserved markets in terms of bank branches. The bank is pleased to play a small part in Nepal Rastra Bank's efforts to expand access to finance in the rural parts of the country," it said, adding, "Although providing reliable banking services is challenging in such areas, especially due to weak infrastructure, the bank believes that both the markets offer long term prospects and are strategic fit to our goal of expanding our retail business and footprint.

The bank will offer a full range of personal, small business and microfinance solutions through these branches, including ATM services."
