A JTSC member said Tharu and Thing were arrested after they addressed a corner meeting at Baneshwar.
“The arrest has discouraged us from sitting for a dialogue with the government, though we had already formed a team for holding dialogue,” the member said.
The JTSC on Tuesday had formed a seven-member dialogue team with Dilli Chaudhari as the coordinator.
The general strikes called by JTSC in Tarai districts have reached in the seventh day.
