Speaking in an interaction program organized by the Kathmandu District Development Committee (DDC) Thursday, lawmakers have urged the government to conduct the relief operations through the one-door policy with properly identifying the genuine quake victims.
Similarly, they have urged the government to remove the debris and risky infrastructure caused by several quakes.
The interaction was organised with the objective of discussing about the damage caused by the devastating earthquake, distribution of the relief and the future plan of action.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Development Prakash Man Singh informed that the government was providing the reliefs to the quake victims after properly identifying the most affected and then the affected people. Therefore, it was not the time for blaming each other, rather all should be committed to the rescue and relief operations in this critical hour, DPM Singh added.
On the occasion, Lawmakers Pemba Lama, Rajan KC, Bhimsen Das Pradhan, Rambir Malakar, Bikram Pandey, Prabha Bajracharya among others pointed out the need of constructing temporary sheds rather than providing tents and paying special attention to the health of the elderly citizens, pregnant women and children.
