Speaking in the parliament on Tuesday NC, CPN-UML and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) lawmakers condemn Singh's threat to secede the Madhesh part from the country. Though lawmakers did not spell out his name, they had clearly pointed out him for allegedly provoking disintegrating feelings among the people.During an interaction with Chairman of Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) Baburam Bhattarai on Monday, leaders of Madhesh-based parties including Singh had warned to change the country's map is the statute is promulgated sans name and boundaries of provinces. Singh had said on that no one could stop Madhesh from separating from the country if new constitution doesn't ensure federalism with names and boundaries of provinces.
Expressing objection upon Singh's statement, UML lawmaker Prakash Jwala demanded that parliament and Prime Minister should dragged attention of the alleged lawmaker.
NC lawmaker Ram Hari Khatiwada, UML's Prakash Jwala and Ram Hari Subedi and Anuradha Thapa Magar of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party demanded action against Singh. Likewise NC lawmaker Ramhari Khatiwada said the House should take the comment seriously. He also challenged that no other lawmakers shall stand as mute spectator if one challenges to the national integrity of the country.
NWPP lawmaker Anuradha Thapamagar also asked to seek clarification from Singh over his statement against the national integrity of the country.
