Landslide damages Everest trail, trekkers urged to stay safe

The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has urged all trekkers to exercise caution and use alternative routes while traveling in the area.

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: A section of the trekking route between Namche and Jorsalle in the Everest region has been damaged by a landslide.

The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has urged all trekkers to exercise caution and use alternative routes while traveling in the area. According to TAAN, the main trail has been blocked, and trekkers can use alternative paths located around 200 to 300 meters above the main route.


The TAAN has also requested all trekking agencies, guides and trekkers to prioritize safety and make necessary preparations before traveling.
