KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Everest Link Pvt Ltd has announced to launch emergency medical service 'Hello Doctor' for the trekkers and mountaineers in the Everest region. Issuing a statement, the company said that 'Hello Doctor' is an online emergency medical service through which trekkers and mountaineers can directly connect with the doctors during emergency situations.
‘Hello Doctor’ online medical service launched
The company has partnered with Green City and Swacon Hospital of Kathmandu and Khunde Hospital in Solukhumbu to provide online emergency medical service in the Everest region. "Trekkers and mountaineers in the Everest region will have Wi-Fi connection.
They can find a medical emergency button on the login page," the company said in the statement. "Through the service, trekkers and mountaineers can contact with doctors to consult their problems. They can take precautions against altitude sickness and other potential risks while travelling or climbing the mountain." After registering their problems they can be rescued by their guide or the company they have been there through. According to the company, among 215 of the 250 hotels of the Everest region are linked with the Everest Link Pvt Ltd.
