Lamsal sets new Global Records

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Samsher Lamsal has set a new world record for the longest non-stop two-wheeler ride riding a motorcycle for 25 hours.



His successful feat on a Honda CB Twister Bike was adjudicated by Mathura Shrestha of Global Records.[break]



“I am very happy and proud that I have been able to achieve my target,” said Lamsal after the ride.



Lamsal began his journey on Sunday morning from Ratnapark and concluded at Narayanghat on Monday morning.



His 900-km ride was not interrupted for fuel refill, food, water or toilet breaks.



“The record on Guinness Book of World Records is 19 hours, however Lamsal’s feat will not immediately be approved by the Guiness,” adjudicator Shrestha said. He however said that the record will be immediately approved by Global World Records and Unique World Records.



Lamsal´s attempt to set a world record was assisted by the Community Police, sponsored by Syakar Company and Himalaya Television was the media partner. The event was managed by 81e Pvt. Ltd.
