KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepali globetrotter Sandeep Lamichhane is set to miss the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) to be hosted at TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.
Lamichhane went through a laser operation at Tilganga Eye Hospital in Kathmandu on Monday for myopia. The surgeons have suggested two to four weeks of rest for the 19-year-old to be on the field again.

The U-19 captain, middle-order batsman Rohit Kumar Paudel, also in the reserve list, was named replacement for the leading Nepali bowler. Paudel recently toured with the national squad for ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, but was omitted from the final squad for the prestigious SAG. Nepal will play the opening match of the event against Sri Lanka U-23 on December 3 at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The home side will face Bhutan on 5th, Maldives on 6th and Bangladesh U-23 on 7th of the December.
