BHAKTAPUR, July 22: A pillion rider died after a mini-tipper (Ba 2 Ka 1213) heading to Bhaktapur from Kathmandu hit a motorcycle (Ba 22 Pa 4220) at Kaushaltar on Saturday morning.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Krishna Prasain said that Ashmi Sunar, 18, of Kirtipur Municipality died in the incident. Critically injured in the accident, Sunsar breathed her last while receiving treatment at the Nagarik Community Hospital in Gaththhagar.
Motorcyclist Hari Gahatraj, 22, of Kirtipur has sustained injuries in the incident.
Tipper driver Jiban Jyatha, 32, of Bhaktapur Municipality-9 has been held and further investigation into the case is underway, the police said. RSS
