WALING, Dec 10: Nepali Congress General Secretary, Shashank Koirala, has said that insufficient preparation was the reason behind the current dispute over implementation of federalism.
Inaugurating the newly constructed building of the Rammandir Higher Secondary School at Mulyangkot VDC in Syangja district on Saturday, Koirala stressed the need of sufficient preparedness for federalism to win the hearts of all, saying the kind of federalism as advocated and presented by the Madhes-based parties and the government in Parliament was not necessary.
He said, "The federalism will make long-term impact, and only federalism incorporating mountainous, hilly and Tarai regions in view of facilities to the people by keeping the partisan interest aside would be effective."
Saying it was the need of the hour to end the existing stalemate, leader Koirala claimed that there was no alternative to political parties to stand together for successful implementation of the constitution. RSS
