KANCHANPUR , March 24: The services at the mortuary in the Mahakali Zonal Hospital have been badly hit when the hospital failed to manage necessary medical equipments in the section.

The post-mortem and viscera examination has been affected as the hospital management failed to get the required equipments and provide adequate water to the morgue.

The Hospital even failed to provide the ice box to keep the corpses before they are handed over to the kin of the dead, said Dr Rambihari Chaudhary. The Hospital has the shortage of water at the corpse room, he added.

"They suffer the shortage of other equipments needed for the service including knife holder, needle holder, scissors, head opener, ice-box and sufficient water in the house," said doctors and other staffs at the Hospital.

Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr Surendralal Shrestha realized the need of water at the mortuary but he was not informed by any doctors about the shortage of the equipments. RSS
