KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Development has achieved 70.5 per cent progress in the budget implementation in the first six months of the current fiscal year.
Ministry Spokesperson Suman Ghimire informed about this in a half yearly review meeting of the Ministry.

The progress as measured on the basis of the implementation of annual policies, programmes and budget implementation, action plan, phase-wise accomplishments and major achievements.
In the meeting held at the Ministry on Thursday, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Rameshwor Ray Yadav spoke about the need of finding sectors supportive to promote the domestic employment.
He instructed for making skill-generating training more effective and self-employment, domestic and foreign jobs more productive.
As shared by Secretary Binod KC, to maintain good labour relations, to end irregularities including fraud in the foreign employment, to promote the creation of domestic job opportunities and to expand the coverage of Social Security Fund were the areas of concern of the Ministry.
