KATHMANDU, June 1: The Ministry of Finance has started homework for the implementation of the budget of the Fiscal Year 2021/22 for quick results by starting the implementation of plans and programs mentioned in the budget on time.   


Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel on Monday directed concerned bodies to formulate an action plan with a timetable for the implementation of the plans and programs mentioned in the budget.

"We are serious about the implementation of the budget. Go ahead with a clear timetable from the beginning till the completion of the budget plans and programs,” said Minister Poudel. "The Ministry of Finance will provide support and coordination and facilitate as necessary for the implementation of the budget."      


Minister Paudel also directed officials concerned to prepare the working procedures and directives on time to start implementation of the programs included in the budget in a timely manner and move ahead with the smooth implementation process from the beginning of the new fiscal year.


Sishir Kumar Dhungana, Secretary at the Finance Ministry, said that it was important to pay special attention to the implementation and its result. He also assured that the Ministry of Finance would make arrangements related to resources.


The ministry plans to hold regular discussions with concerned ministries and agencies for the implementation of the programs included in the budget.
