KATHMANDU, May 1: The Koshi Province Investment Summit has begun from today in Biratnagar.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the event being held at the Birendra Sabhagriha. Defense Minister Manabir Rai, Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel and other dignitaries have already arrived at the venue to attend the summit.

A total of 71 projects will be presented at the summit. According to the Provincial Investment Authority, agreements will be made for around two dozen projects to move forward.
According to Chief Executive Officer Saroj Koirala, the 71 projects to be showcased at the conference have a combined cost of Rs 173.49 billion.
The projects span eight sectors, including tourism, agriculture, industry, energy, infrastructure, IT, and services.
The investment summit will see participation from private sector investors in Nepal, as well as investors from China, Russia, the United States, South Korea, India, and Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs).
