KATHMANDU, July 7: The newly-appointed Chief Minister (CM) of Koshi Province Uddhav Thapa will take oath of office and secrecy today.
Thapa was appointed as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province on Thursday. After the then Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, did not receive a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly, the UML-led government in Koshi Province collapsed.
Sudurpaschim CM to take oath of office and secrecy today
Nepali Congress (NC) Chief Whip Bhupendra Rai said that three to four ministers will also be appointed today. According to Rai, one minister is being appointed from Nepali Congress (NC), one minister from the CPN (Unified Socialist) and one minister from the CPN (Maoist Center). Rai said that preparations are being made to appoint Pradip Sunuwar from NC as minister and the names of ministers from other parties are yet to be finalized.
