Makhwanpur, Dec 28: Senior member Ram Prasad Dhungana took the oath of office and secrecy before administering the oath of office and secrecy to the elected members of the Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province.
Dhungana, who is the senior-most member of the province assembly, was sworn in by province chief Yadav Chandra Sharma at the province chief's office on Wednesday.

According to Article 182 of the Constitution of Nepal, Province Chief Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dhungana, the senior-most member of the Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province, in accordance with Subsection (1) of Section 24 of the Act on Remuneration and Benefits of Provincial Assembly Officials and Members 2075. Dhungana was elected from the CPN-Maoist Center to the Province Assembly from Nuwakot Constituency 2 'A'.
The oath-taking ceremony of the remaining members elected to the Provincial Assembly will be held at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Hetauda, tomorrow, Thursday, at 2 pm. The remaining members will be administered the oath of office and secrecy by senior provincial assembly member Dhungana. Ministers including the outgoing Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Rajendra Prasad Pandey, were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
