BIRATNAGAR, Dec 3: Koshi Province Chief Minister (CM) Kedar Karki has assigned responsibilities to the ministers.

On Sunday, CM Karki appointed Shamsher Rai from the Nepali Congress as the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Ganesh Prasad Upreti from the CPN (Maoist Center) as the Minister for Tourism, Forest and Environment, and Kamal Prasad Jabegu from the CPN (Unified Socialist) party as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

CM Karki has held the ministries of Finance and Planning, Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy, and the Ministry of Social Development and Ministry of Health with himself.

Kedar Karki of Nepali Congress (NC) was appointed as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province on October 14, 2023. CM Karki then received a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly on October 18 with 86 votes in favor of him and only five votes against him.
