Korean Embassy to organize Korea Culture Day

KATHMANDU, June 23:The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal is set to organize "Korea Culture Day-Taste Korea" at the Army Officers' Club, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu on Saturday.

According to the Embassy, the event is being organized to provide a unique opportunity to enhance the understanding of Korean Culture and further expand Korean Wave in Nepal.

The "Korea Culture Day-Taste Korea" will consist of a quiz on Korea with ten million won prize, K-Pop Festival, and Food Festival programs scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm.

The registration process of "Quiz on Korea" will begin at 9 am on the same day. The final round of the Quiz on Korea will be held in Korea. Likewise, famous singer Sabin Rai will perform the latest K-Pop song and dance performance at the K-Pop Festival between 12 pm and 2 pm. This event will be broadcast live around the world through KBS WORLD Channel.

In the food festival to be held between 2 pm and 4 pm, anyone can taste various Korean recipes such as kimchi dumplings, mixed noodles, rice inside seaweed, pan cake, Jaeyuk Bokkum and rice cake, among others, only at Rs 100 per recipe.

The highlight of the event is mixing of Bibimbab (mixed rice) in a large bowl by the chief guest Onsari Gharti Magar, the speaker of the Legislature Parliament, and other dignitaries. The Bibimbab will be distributed to 200 visitors free of cost.
