Koirala urges to give majority to NC

POKHARA, May 19: President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, has said that the new constitution was not promulgated as the NC did not get victory in the first election to the Constituent Assembly (CA).



Releasing a book ´Pragya Prabhat´, published by Democratic University Teachers´ Association Prithvinarayan Campus Unit Committee, Koirala expressed the view that the NC should get majority in the next CA election to promulgate the new constitution.[break]



He said people should come to the street against the conspiracy as moves are being made not to allow CA election by mid-December.



On the occasion, different speakers including NC leader Sharada Poudel expressed their views at the programme held under the chairmanship of president of the Democratic University Teachers´ Association Unit Committee, Kamalraj Poudel.
