"His bronchoscopy was done today and the diagnosis will be completed tomorrow [Tuesday]," Dr Shekhar Koirala, the octogenarian leader´s nephew, told myrepublica.com over the phone from Singapore.
Dr Koirala said the leader has not been given any new medicine and has been continued on antibiotics that were being given here in Kathmandu as the diagnosis has not been completed yet.
The government had called in an air ambulance from Singapore to take Koirala to Singapore as he regularly needed oxygen to avoid respiratory problems.
The leader suffering from multifarious ailments, including that of lungs, was admitted to the private tertiary acute care unit of the Gleneagles Hospitals after reaching Singapore Saturday afternoon.
Koirala was undergoing treatment at Martyr Gangalal National Heart Center after water accumulated in his lungs and he suffered from a bout of cold and fever. According to his doctors, Koirala was taken to Singapore as some of the tests he needed are not available in Nepal.
