KATHMANDU, Feb 15: A Korean volunteer has helped the locals of Hetaunda Sub Metropolitan City-12 with the construction of five tunnel houses and dissemination of education of income generation through improvement of farming method.
Inbok Lee used a budget of Rs 2.3 million to carry out the project which he handed over on Friday in Padampokhari, Hetauda. The Chief Guest of the program was Hari Bahadur Mahat, mayor of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City. Official from The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and other related offices joined the program. KOICA has been implementing small scale projects like the above one through its KOV program in many other sectors as well.
The project has completed the construction of five model tunnel houses with the joint support from Sub Metropolitan city office. Lee, a KOV volunteer, is also collaborating with Hetauda Sub metropolitan city office to prepare an information booklet for the farmers.
