KMC sends fine notice to UML via email after the party rejected in-person delivery

The KMC has again sent the letter through email and post on Monday, after UML refused to accept the letter in physical form on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has sent a fine letter to the CPN-UML through post office and email after UML refused to accept it during in-person delivery.


A municipal police team from the KMC on Sunday reached the UML party office to deliver the fine notice. However, the UML refused to accept the fine notice from the metropolis claiming that they were not the organizers of the event held at Durbarmarg.

Rajunath Pandey,  Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) at the Metropolitan Police Force, said that the KMC has again sent the letter through email and post on Monday, after UML refused to accept the letter in physical form on Sunday.


SSP Pandey said, “Yesterday (Sunday), they refused to accept the fine letter. We sent it by post and email today.”
