KMC demolishing unauthorized structures in Sorakhutte area

KATHMANDU, September 14: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started removing unauthorized structures in Sorakhutte Chowk, Naya Bazar area.

KATHMANDU, September 14: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started removing unauthorized structures in Sorakhutte Chowk, Naya Bazar area.


Under the leadership of City Police Superintendent Rajunath Pandey, the metropolis has removed the structures that were built and operated by unauthorized construction. Metropolis Police said that despite repeated requests to remove unauthorized structures, they were forced to use dozers because such structures were not removed.

Dozers have been used to remove structures built by encroaching upon footpaths and basements that are against structural design. The city has been removing unauthorized structures, basements that are used against the design and hoarding boards that are placed against the standards.
