KATHMANDU, March 3: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has given a 24-hour ultimatum to remove all unauthorized structures in Pashupati area.
Revathiraman Adhikari, spokesman of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), said that after inspecting the encroached structures in the Pashupati area, a team of KMC informed that they had given an ultimatum with instructions to remove those structures. He said, "We have not been formally informed by the metropolis. But we have heard that they have given a 24-hour ultimatum to remove the encroached structures."

According to the metropolis, it was found that 10 ropani of land is being operated under the name of Gaushala Dharamshala by renting 50,000 rupees per annum from the PADT.
Similarly, more than 20 shutters were found to be operating in the Pashupati area without registration during the inspection of the metropolis. As Dharamshala has been found to have built structures without a map pass, the KMC has said that such structures will be removed.
