UDAYAPUR, July 20: Kirant Janawadi Workers Party (KJWP), the armed outfit operating in eastern hill districts, has expressed serious concern over the government´s preparation to hold talks with Suman Rai, who claimed to be its chief.

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the KJWP claimed that Suman Rai is not their chief. The armed outfit also claimed that Suman is a ´notorious criminal´ already suspended by the party, therefore, “There is no point in holding talks with Suman.” [break]

The KJWP reminded the government that all negotiations on behalf of the KJWP so far were led by Ananata Kranti.

“The preparation of the government to hold talks with Rai will derail the ongoing peace process and put KJWP in shadow. This shows that the government is bent on derailing the peace process,” the statement further said.

The KJWP has also asked the government to make the status of former chief Bidroha Biwas (Binesh Rai) public and create conducive environment for holding meaningful talks.

The statement undersigned by the KJWP has said that the government should be serious in resolving their demands through talks.
