Keshari breaks yet another record

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Keshari Chaudhary set her third national record during the National Track and Field Championship being held at the Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday.



She broke a decade-old long jump record of Nepal Police Club´s Devi Maya Paneru a day after setting two records on Monday. Keshari jumped 5.20 meters to break Paneru´s mark of 5.16 meters set way back in 1999 during the Eighth SAF Games in Kathmandu.[break]



Keshari, who took 10 wickets during Nepal´s victorious ACC U-19 Women´s Championship campaign last month, had set new triple jump and high jump records of 11.19 meters and 1.55 meters respectively on Monday. She also won silver medals in 100 meter sprint and shot put.
