In this connection, Ambassador Upadhyaya had a meeting with New Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chair Arvind Kejriwal Thursday. During the meeting, he urged the New Delhi CM for support to Nepal's health sector. Most of hospitals in Nepal lack ventilators, which has hampered the service delivery to the needy.
Leader Kejriwal on the occasion stated that India was together with Nepal in these hours of grief, promising full support to cope with the adverse situation after the disaster. "Hardship and honesty are the characteristics of the Nepalis", he said, expressing his confidence that Nepal would be able to convert the present misery to an opportunity, according to Ambassador Upadhyaya.
The Indian leader also expressed his wish to visit Nepal soon. In response, Ambassador Upadhyaya said Nepalis were eager to welcome Kejriwal, known for his anti-corruption campaign, their home.
Ambassador Upadhyay on Wednesday had called on Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
