Currently in the eighth year of this ongoing KCM tradition, the organizing committee says, “This year’s show will be bigger, louder and heavier with leading sounds and light setups in the industry.”[break]
Two preliminary shows will be held on Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18 at Bhrikuti Mandap while the finals will be held on November 26, also at Bhrikuti Mandap.
This year, the concert has been taken a step further with Indian MTV EMA Award Nominee Indian band, Scribe, performing for the finals.
Bands like White, Horney Monks, Shannon Scam, 7th Gravity, and Underside will be performing at the preliminary rounds and bands Underside and Seventh Gravity will be performing alongside their main attraction Scribe, during the finals.

With thirty-two bands battling each other in the preliminary rounds, only twelve will make it to the finals and only one will stand triumphant.
The winner of the competition will win a cash prize worth Rs 50,000, and the bands securing second and third places will win cash prizes of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
“This is an event organized by the students’ council of KCM,” says Atit Neupane, a 2nd year student at KCM and a member of the organizing committee of the Inter College Music Competition. “I think we’ve gone to the next level with this competition by introducing a well-known international band like Scribe,” he adds.
The ticket prices for the preliminary and finals rounds are Rs. 50 and Rs. 150 per person respectively.
