A new winner will emerge after the final.
Purwanchal University School of Engineering and Technology (PUSET) won the first edition of this trophy in 2003, then White House College won the trophy for three consecutive years. Last year, Classic College won the trophy.
The contest between these two colleges will be very tough as both teams are fielding national squad regular players. KCC-R have giant national players like skipper and bowler Binod Das, all-rounder Mehboob Alam, opener Dipendra Chaudhary, Shakti Gauchan, Manoj Baishya and Raj Kumar Pradhan in the playing eleven.
CCRC is not far behind in placing national players in its playing eleven. U-19 captain and national player Gyanendra Malla, bowlers Amrit Bhattarai, Abhaya Rana, Sanjam Regmi, Sagar Khadka and Raj Shrestha are playing for CCRC.
Dipendra Chaudhary of KCC-R is the highest run scorer and favorite to win best batsman award. He has scored 148 runs in 4 innings with an average of 74 runs. Raj Shrestha of CCRC has claimed 9 scalps in the tournament and is the front runner to clinch best bowler award.
Gyanendra Malla and Anil Mandal of CCRC can spoil KCC-R´s party as they are capable to destroy any bowling attack. Likewise, Mehboob Alam and Dipendra Chaudhary of KCC-R are the players to watch for CCRC.
Times, CCRC to vie in final
