KAVRE, Aug 26: Kavre district recorded yet another coronavirus-related death on Wednesday.
A man, aged 55, from Suryabinayak Municipality-8 in Bhaktapur, who earlier tested positive for the virus, died while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
Chief of District Public Health Office Narendra Kumar Jhan said that the man was admitted to the hospital three days ago. His throat swab sample was collected and sent for COVID-19 testing, which came out positive. The COVID-19 patient was also a heart patient.
Kavre district has witnessed steep rise in the number of coronavirus cases in recent weeks. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in the district as of today.
Altogether 63 persons who earlier tested positive for virus have been discharged after recovery as of today. There are currently 98 coronavirus patients undergoing treatment in various isolation centers across the district.
