KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Kathmandu has become the sixth most polluted city in the world. According to IQAir, headquartered in Switzerland, the pollution level in Kathmandu was measured at 170 AQI at the time the report was prepared.
According to IQAir, Lahore in Pakistan holds the top position as the most polluted city in the world, with pollution levels measured at 755 AQI.
Kathmandu tops the list of polluted cities in the world
In neighboring India's capital city, New Delhi, the air pollution level has increased, reaching a severe category. On Wednesday morning, the AQI surpassed 400, with some areas exceeding 450.
This is considered to be at a severe level of air pollution, which is harmful to health. With the increasing cold, air pollution in these areas has reached severe levels.
The pollution level in Delhi has been measured at 423. In third place is Hanoi in Vietnam, followed by Kolkata in India, and Dhaka in Bangladesh in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
