Kathmandu metropolis launches Dashain-focused vaccination campaign

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: In its bid to immunize all citizens above 18 years old against COVID-19, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is running a vaccination campaign from today targeting the Dashain festival.

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: In its bid to immunize all citizens above 18 years old against COVID-19, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is running a vaccination campaign from today targeting the Dashain festival.


The ward vaccination centers in all 32 wards in the KMC and some additional centers will administer the first dose of Vero Cell until October 10.  


In addition to the 32 vaccination centers, the first dose of Vero Cell will be administered from Nepal Police Hospital; Bir Hospital; Civil Service Hospital Paropakar Hospital and Birendra Military Hospital, according to Chief of Public Health Department of KMC, Hari Bahadur Kunwar.

After submitting a voluntary application form, the registered person is requested to come to the vaccination center during the three-day vaccination campaign with the registration card or registration number along with the identity card that verifies the identity of the person, the KMC said.


The vaccination campaign continues until 4:00 pm from 10:00 in the morning.
