Kathmandu Gurkhas batting against Lumbini Lions

Lumbini  Lions have only two points from five matches. Likewise, if Kathmandu loses today, it seems that their journey to the playoffs will be difficult.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Kathmandu Gurkhas are currently batting against Lumbini Lions in the second match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Wednesday.


Kathmandu’s captain Karan KC won the toss and decided to bat first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Under the captaincy of Karan KC, Bhim Sarki, Shahab Alam, Shankar Rana, Rashid Khan, Dipesh Kandel, Pratik Shrestha, Michael Levitt, Stephen Eskinazi (wicketkeeper), Gerhard Erasmus, Nathan Sowter are in the Kathmandu team.


Similarly, Rohit Kumar Poudel has taken over the captaincy of Lumbini Lions. His team includes Bivek Yadav, Sundeep Jora, Surya Tamang, Aashutosh Ghiraiya, Abhishesh Gautam, Arjun Saud (wicketkeeper), Vikash Agri, Tom Moores, Saad Bin Zafar and Ramon Simmonds.


Lumbini  Lions have only two points from five matches. Likewise, if Kathmandu loses today, it seems that their journey to the playoffs will be difficult. Kathmandu Gurkhas are scheduled to face the top-ranked Janakpur Bolts tomorrow.
