KATHMANDU, Dec 7: The first match of today in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is between Lumbini Lions and Sudurpaschim Royals. Lumbini won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Lumbini, who has lost two consecutive matches, is now looking for its first win.
Sudurpaschim, who has won both of their previous matches, aims to maintain their momentum and secure their third consecutive win.
Lumbini Lions to bowl against Janakpur Bolts
One player has been changed in each team. Lumbini has brought in Arjun Kumal to replace Ashutosh Ghiraiya, while Sudurpaschim has replaced Rohan Mustafa with Basanta Khatri.
Benn Cutting of Lumbini Lions is on the bench today as well. The renowned Australian all-rounder has been limited to the bench for two consecutive matches after playing in the first game.
The stadium is packed with spectators to watch both teams play. Since today is Saturday, a public holiday, there has been a heavy turnout of fans since the morning. Tickets were sold out the day before.
