KATHMANDU, Sept 15: A proposal has been put forward to make Kathmandu district a single local unit.


The Local Level Restructuring Technical Assistance Committee has submitted a proposal to Local Body Restructuring Commission to restructure Kathmandu district as a single unit, said Commission's Member Madhav Adhikari.

Committee Coordinator and Local Development Officer Gopal Adhikari said that it was recommended to make Kathmandu district a single unit so as to develop it in an integrated manner.


"It is good to make the entire district a single unit as it offers an opportunity to develop Kathmandu as a metro city in future", said Adhikari. RSS
