KATHMANDU, Dec 5: The District Court Kathmandu on Monday issued a public notice, asking Nepal Communist Party (NCP)'s General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand and other leaders to appear before the court.
Chand along with the party’s Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, All Nepal Peasants' Federation (Revolutionary) Chairman Raju Karki and Maila Tamang has been facing charges of an offense against the state in the court for the past four years.
The case was filed against them on December 26, 2019, accusing them of jeopardizing the relations among federal units and various castes and communities, thereby committing an offense against the State. The court issued the notice after the police reported to the court that they are absconding.
