His number two in the Nepal Army, Lt. Gen. Kul Bahadur Khadka, has accepted the letter that appoints him as the army chief.
Katawal, meanwhile, has rushed to the Army Headquarters at Bhadrakali where he is learnt to have held a meeting to top army generals to discuss the nest course of action.
All attention is now on the president´s office as well as the parliament.
