Kaski District Court grants permission to keep RSP Chair Lamichhane in custody for additional 4 days

The Kaski District Court has extended the judicial remand of Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a former home minister, by four days.

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: The Kaski District Court has extended the judicial remand of Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a former home minister, by four days.


On Sunday, Judge Himalal Belbase of the Kaski District Court granted the police permission to keep Lamichhane in custody for an additional four days for further investigation, according to the court's Spokesperson Suraj Adhikari.

Lamichhane is under investigation for charges including cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering. Along with Lamichhane, former DIG of Nepal Police, Chhabilal Joshi, and other individuals involved in the embezzlement of funds from the Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperative in Pokhara will  also be presented before the court today.
