KATHMANDU, Oct 20: The Kaski District Court, on Sunday, granted permission  to the police to detain chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane for additional six days for investigation into his alleged involvement in embezzlement of co-operatives’ funds.

Following his arrest on Friday evening, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Lamichhhane was presented before the court on Sunday itself. Upon hearing his case, a bench headed by District Court Judge Navaraj Dahal decided to send him to judicial custody, according to Suraj Adhikari, information officer of the Kaski District Court.
