KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Karnali Yaks has signed an agreement with Mahindra Showroom, Agni Incorporated Pvt Ltd as the main sponsor, for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL).
An agreement was reached between the two parties at the Hilton Hotel in Naxal on Friday. The agreement was signed by Jhanak Dutt Khanal, the owner of Karnali Yaks, and Veda Satasha Shrestha, vice president of Mahindra.
Sujan Khanal, vice president at Himalayan Builders & Engineers; Grihendra Ghimire, co-owner of Karnali Yax; Vedanta Shrestha, manager of Mahindra Research and Development; Santoshi Nepal, Marketing Manager; Swastima Khadka, face of Karnali Yax; Arpit Karki, youngest face of Karnali Yax were present in the signing ceremony.

Speaking following the agreement, Mahindra, Agni Group vice president Shrestha expressed her happiness about joining Karnali Yaks and extended her best wishes. “We are happy to join Karnali Yaks for the upcoming league. Best wishes to Karnali Yaks for the competition.”
Similarly, Karnali Yaks has signed agreements with Ten Plast as their Strength Partner and Dream11 as their Fantasy Partner. The event was attended by Ten Plast's Chairman Dhiraj Agrawal and Dream11's CEO Anil Rijal.
Karnali Yaks, with coach Gyanendra Malla and marquee player Sompal Kami, has signed four foreign players. Last week, they signed renowned international cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who is the biggest name in the NPL this season.
Additionally, the team has also signed Chadwick Walton, a West Indies cricketer with test experience, Babar Hayat, an experienced international player from Hong Kong, and former Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood
In the national team of Nepal, there are players including Gulshan Jha, Dev Khanal, and Nandan Yadav. The players including Arjun Ghimire, Rit Gautam, Mausam Dhakal, and Bhuwan Karki are also included from the 'B' category. Similarly, Dipendra Rawat, Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri, and Deepak Dumre are from the 'C' category. Additionally, from the Talent Hunt program, Bipin Prasad Sharma has been selected as one of the iconic players.
Earlier, Karnali Yaks appointed Swastima Khadka as the Face of Karnali Yaks and Sisan Baniya as the Youth Brand Ambassador. The hospitality partner for the event is Hilton Hotel. In the upcoming competition, which will take place from November 30 to December 21, Karnali Yaks will play their opening match with Janakpur.
