KATHMANDU, July 21: A meeting of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has not been conducted since the CPN (Maoist Centre), the main party of the ruling coalition, boycotted the House.

In the 26th meeting of the 10th session of the Provincial Assembly held on July 19, the Maoist Center walked out of the meeting expressing dissatisfaction with the House and the government.

After the leader of CPN (Maoist Centre), Mahendra Bahadur Shahi left the meeting; Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi announced the adjournment of the meeting for half an hour. After the discussion with the Maoist center, Speaker Shahi tried to conduct the meeting by persuasion, but the meeting could not be held again. He convened an all-party meeting under his chairmanship at 3 PM on Wednesday to conduct the assembly meeting. However, the all-party meeting ended without a conclusion.

On Wednesday morning, the meeting of the Maoist parliamentary party gave party leader Mahendra Bahadur Shahi the responsibility to initiate negotiations and consensus. In the all-party meeting, Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi and the House were accused of trying to discuss the issue raised by the Maoist Center in a light manner, and party leader Shahi walked out.

Yamlal Kandel from the opposition party CPN-UML, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi from the Maoist Center, Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi from the NC, Chandra Bahadur Shahi from the CPN (Unified Socialist) and Sushila Shahi from RPP participated in the all-party meeting held on Wednesday. It is said that there will be further discussions on the dissatisfaction within the ruling coalition.
