Kantipur journalist assaulted in Janakpur

JANAKPUR, April 7: An unidentified group physically assaulted and injured Kantipur daily’s Janakpur correspondent Manika Jha Tuesday. She was attacked by a group of four-five persons at Mujeliya in Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section when she was returning home from an election campaign meet of the Nepali Congress at Sapahi on Tuesday.



Jha said the assailants also tore her clothes and bag. She has returned home after treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.



Meanwhile, Federation of Nepalese Journalists Dhanusha district chapter has decided to form a committee to investigate the attack on Jha.
